Condition
DIAL: overall in good condition, lume plots all present. Natural grey patination on the register dials. Two light scuffs to the hour register. CASE: retaining strong proportions even though it has been carefully polished in the past. With the inevitable light scuffs throughout. Some scratches on the bracelet, mainly to the clasp. MOVEMENT: running at the time of cataloguing. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its timekeeping. The production of the references 6263 and the 6265 started around 1970. These were the last iterations of the manual winding Daytona before eventually they were replaced by the automatic ‘Zenith’ chronograph with the caliber 4030 in 1988.
This piece sums up all the appealing characteristics this model can offer: the black dial is adorned with the famous big red Daytona above the subsidiary dial for hour register. Furthermore, this watch is in very original condition as it still has its original screw-down pushers, bezel and the correct 78350 bracelet with 571 end links.
