Description
Steve Jobs Business card, Cupertino, CA, Apple Computer, Inc., 1977-1978, for “Steven Jobs / Vice President / Operations,” 2 x 3½ inches, with blജind embossed Apple logo.
Steve Jobs was only 21 years old when he co-founded Apple Computer Co. in 1976. He had limited business experience, so he eventually sought advice from their angel investor Mꦫike Markkula. They found Mike Scott to head the newly incorporated company in 1977 and Jobs took the initial role of Vice President, Operations. The present business card lists that early title as well as the address of the first Apple Computer Inc. office at 20863 Stevens Creek Blvd., suite B3-C in Cupertino, CA, famously next door to Jobs’ favorite lunch spot: The Good Earth Café. The company expanded greatly by 1978 and most of the employees moved to the 10260 Bandley Driveꦿ location just a short distance away. Jobs moved to that location sometime that year and had a new title by 1979: Vice President, New Product Development. The present card, which predates both the new title and the move, is one of the earliest Steve Jobs business cards to appear at auction.
