Brad Bentoff serves as Vice Chairman and a distinguished senior member of Sotheby’s Collectors Group. Since beginning with the company in 1993, he has been instrumental in driving the global expansion of Sotheby’s business development initiatives. Mr. Bentoff collaborates with clients across all categories worldwide, facilitating both purchasin🌠g and consigning processes at auctions, as well as managing private sales. His tenure at Sotheby’s has seen him spearheading numerous significant consignments, showcasing his expertise in a multitude of collecting categories while placing particular emphasis on Impressionist and Modern Art, Contemporary Art, Jewelry, and American Art as well as many areas in our Luxury division such as Jewelry, Watches and Wine. Moreover, he possesses specialized knowledge and a rich background in American, English, and French Furniture.

Having assumed the role of Sotheby’s principal auctioneer in 2019, Mr. Bentoff oversees the auctioneer program and is responsible for the training of new auctioneers across North America. His involvement in high-profileﷺ auctions is noteworthy, including the iconic sales associated with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Johnny Cash, Katharine Hepburn, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, and the esteemed Collection of Lilly and Edmund Safra, among others. Additionally, he is a dedicated auctioneer who generously volunteers his time for various charitable events.

Mr. Bentoff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, graduated in 1990, and furthered his academic pursuits at the Sotheby’s Institute in London, specializing in 17th and 18ඣth Century Decora๊tive Arts.
