Rodney joined Sotheby’s in 2016, bringing with him over twent♎y-five years of art market knowledge and specialist expertise. He joined Christie’s in 1991 and spent over twenty years as a specialist and head of department in the field of British and Continental ceramics and glass, serving as a director and international specialist. During his tenure he was responsible for the sale of many important objects a⛄nd collections on behalf of clients in the UK, Europe and America.

Most recently Rodney has worked as an independent advisor and specialist in early p🉐ottery. Throughout his career he has advised private buyers, institutions and family collections on the management of their pieces across a range of disciplines including European ceramics and works of art and Asian art. He regularly lectures and writes on his passion, early English tin-glazed pottery.
