The Musée Jacquemart-André in Paris will be opening their latest exhibition next week. is a show dedicated to the fantastical and obsessive paintings of the Swiss-born Johann Heinrich Füssli (1741-1825). The show will contain major loans from Museums and galleries across the world, including one of the several versions of his most famous composition The Nightmare. This is the first time the artist has been treated to a monographic exhibition🤪 in Paris since 1975.

The exhibition will run from 16 September 2022 until 23 J🐲anuary 2023.

Although many of the artist's iconic paintings are preserved in museums, Füssli (also known as Fuseli in the Anglosphere) was a prolific draughtsman. His drawings and works on paper are highly prized by collectors and many particularly fine examples have been handled by Sotheby's in recent years.
