by descent to the present owner
Sillett is a rare artist, who was an early member of the Norwich school. This group of pa💦inters was active in Norfolk during the early nineteenth century. Other members included, John Crome (1768-1821) and, most celebrated of all, John Sell Cotman (1782-1842).&nb⭕sp;
The Cromer Antique Gallery was founded by E.D. Levine (a third generation Norfolk antique dealer) circa 1928, and he operated as the leading Norwich school🌞 dealer until his death in 1986. This work has descended within his family until today.
