Sillett is a rare artist who was an early member of the Norwich school. This group of painters was active in Nꦡorfolk during the early nineteenth century. Other members include John Crome (1768-1821) and most celebrated of all, John Sell Cotman (1782-1842).
The Cromer Antique Gallery was founded by E.D. Levine (a third generation Norfolk antqiue dealer) in circa 1928,ไ and he operated a🧸s the leading Norwich school dealer until his death in 1986. This work has descended within his family until today.
