This film was ꦦbased on the 1956 n🥂ovel The Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith. It was Walt Disney's seventeenth animated feature film, and a much needed box-office success for the studio, after the more expensive and underperforming Sleeping Beauty released two years earlier.
