Hayao Miyazaki, one of the founders of Studio 🗹Ghibli,꧂ wrote and directed this film. Studio Ghibli, which was founded in 1985, has been responsible for making many magical animations. So popular and loved is Totoro that the studio use it as their mascot and logo.
