The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso needs almost no introduction as an icon for the brand and a uniquely distinctive wristwatch. From its origins as a watch for polo-playing British officers, it has become a canvas upon which Jaeger-LeCoultre imparts some of its most artistic and technologically advanced complications. Fitting for a maison known as the ‘watchmaker'🐼s watchmaker,’ the present Reverso is a limited edition from 2007 that houses a complex tourbillon mechanism.
Cased entirely in platinum, the Reverso is powered by the impressive caliber 848 and was introduced in 2003. Comprising 204 components and made of 18k white gold, the movement contains a 1-minute tourbillon, power reserve, and subsidiary seconds complications. Decorated in Côtes Soleillées by hand, only 500 examples of this limited edition were produced. In typical fashion for the brand, the watch is thin and discreet fr𓃲om the dial side. It only reveals its elaborate tourbillon bridge upon flipping the case over, which exposes the incredible artistry the gr🐽and maison is capable of. Seldom seen on the market, this piece is an excellent example of Jaeger-LeCoultre at its best.
