The Caliber L921, commonly known as the Sax-O-Mat, is the result of 5 years work and the genius of the now retired movement designer Helmut Geyer. Introduced in 1997, the Sax-O-Mat was Lange’s first automatic movement. In fact the name of the caliber refers to its Saxon origins (Sax), that it has a zero reset function (O) and that it is automatic (Mat). Available in two variants, with or without the iconic large date complication, t🐈his movement showcased a whimsical zero reset mechanism. When the crown is pulled, the seconds hand swiftly returns to zero, facilitating precise time setting. Even today; the caliber L921 is the automatic movement to have from A. Lange & Söhne. The refere🍎nce 308.025 is offered with a platinum case and an elegant silvered dial.
