The Datograph has consistently maintained a cult following, solidifying its place as one of the ‘must-have’ watches for seriouღs collectors. As a significant landmark in modern watchmaking, the Datograph's unparalleled quality of finishing has garnered accolades from some of the world’s greatest watchmakers. Many of them consider this model to be among the finest serially produced wristwatches ever made.
The Datograph model boasts a flyback function, allowing the chronograph to be reset to zero and restarted mid-measurement with a simple press of the chronograph button. Additionally,𓂃 it introduced a pioneering feat🐼ure in modern watchmaking: the minutes counter hand “jumps” precisely when the chronograph seconds hand reaches 60.
The present example is the Datograph Up/Down model. This version was the long-awaited update to the original Datograph, introduced in 2012 and still in production today. It brought several changes, notably increasing in size from 39mm to 41mm and growing slightly thicker. The Roman numerals were replaced, and a power-reserve indicator (hence the Up/Down nomenclature) was added. Fitted with an elegant pink gold case and a black dial, this example is being offered🌳 complete with its full suite of accessories.
