Identified as falangcai by its square blue-enamelled reign mark, the vase was painted in the imperial enamelling workshops inside Beijing’s Forbidden City, while its shape,𓆉 size and design evokes porcelains produced in the imperial kilns of Jingdezhen, in Jiangxi.
