Jere Cobb began his career as a test pilot for NASA in 1963, working first at Langley before transferring to Elling⛦ton Air Force Base where he would stay for the rest of his career. A member🐬 of the Society for Test Pilots, he logged more hours than any other person on the Lunar Landing Training Vehicle (LLTV), and was the person who trained the astronauts on its use, including most notably, Neil Armstrong.
