the body enamelled in translucent cobalt blue over wavy engine turning, divided into two sections, each surrounded by an opaque white champlevé border with green dots in each corner and separated by bands of gold with green cloisonné leaves and white beads, with a vesta compartment, the thumb-piece set with a row of diamonds, struck to the interior with Fabergé and workmaster's initials, 72 standard
length 9.9cm; 3 7/8 in.
Acquired by the grandmother of the present owner in Russia or Paris in the first quarter of the 20th century.
